THERMAL IMAGING/MOISTURE SURVEYS
Water infiltration issues are one of the roofing industry's most problematic and costly problems. Water infiltration can cause roof leaks, loss of insulating properties, structural deterioration and property damage cost building owners billions of dollars every year.
Water infiltration issues often results in complete removal and replacement of all roofing materials when in fact this is uneccessary. Often times only portions of a roof are wet but the entire roof is replaced. This of course does not help the bottom line! Roof replacements are expensive and often times unnecessary.
Moisture Surveys can determine if and where moisture is in a roofing system. By making this type of determination, a building owner has more options with regard to corrective action. One of these surveys can save an owner significant costs by allowing him to replace only the damaged areas of roofing rather than the entire system. Moisture surveys can also determine if a new roof installation has been installed without moisture compromise.
The Roof Group uses Fluke thermal imaging cameras to perform infrared roof moisture surveys. With these cameras, we are able to identify where moisture is trapped within the roof system. The survey is performed after sundown to allow thermal differences to occur once the air and roof surface temperatures reach a state of equilibrium.

Thermal Imaging technology is optimized for building envelope, inspection and roofing applications.
